To my Son

Hey,

Its 11 days to the day that you expected to enter this world and am excited and honoured to have carried you in my womb for the last 38 weeks and 3 days; it has been a journey of enlightenment, and self discovery.

I know that life will not be easy, there will be days we will cry, others will laugh and others we will put on  a brave face and soldier on; but with every emotion that we face we shall always be a family and always be there for each other

Am working hard to ensure that you get a goods education, both at school and at home so that you can be a well rounded Gentleman

I hope you will play a sport,  and whatever sport you decide to play I will be your number one fan. If you will not be into sports I will support you in any other extra curricular activities that you will like.

It wont matter to me if you are tall or short for as long as by the end of the day you are a gentleman, respectful and kind.

I know that there will be a time that we will fight and we  wont be in terms, I hope that you will be able to understand that I Love you and I want you to only have the best and most of all that we can forgive each other and still be a family

When the time comes I hope you will be free enough to tell me, some of the things that disturb you and who you are dating. We will be free enough with each other for you to accept my advise when I tell you Safe sex is important.

When you meet your better Half, I hope she will love you for who you are not for what you have, the two of you will accept each other and complement each other. That you will be a wise enough to know that hitting a woman or abusing her doesn’t make you  a MAN, it just makes you weak.

When she gets pregnant, be with her every step of the way, let her know that you are there for her and the baby, because that is all we (women) really want.

I promise to raise you believing not only in God but also in yourself, I hope you will do the same for your Kids

I love you and will always be there for you.

Love

Mom
